The SAS Annual General Meeting was held on March 23, 2010 with twenty-one members and two support people present. At that meeting the decision was made to dissolve the Saskatoon Adlerian Society by December 31, 2010 or such earlier date that its affairs can be wound up.
The plan is to hand over programs that are currently part of the SAS to organizations which we know can support them:
- Nurturing with Rhymes will continue with Sharon Bâby
- Psychology for Today with Facilitator Training will be offered by Linda Kasdorf and Deb Gibson of ThinkLife Empowerment Company
- The John Lake Parent Drop-In Centre will begin again in September
- Parenting classes are available through Catholic Family Services and Family Services Saskatoon
- Respectful Responsible Parenting: A Facilitator’s Guide is currently available from SAS
The purpose of the Saskatoon Adlerian Society (SAS) is to teach and promote the principles of mutual respect, belonging, encouragement, and social responsibility which are based on Alfred Adler’s psychology.
SAS offers educational opportunities that offer positive and effective approaches to parenting, teaching, counselling, social and business relationships.
